Osprey Celebrates 50th Anniversary
On October 3rd, 2024, Osprey proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of innovation, dedication, and strong customer relationships.
The event brought together founders Jim Harpole and Tom Barron, Jr., along with current staff members, former associates, and members of our extended Osprey family. A special highlight of the celebration was a tribute video from our European sales and support team recognizing the company’s legacy and the people who have shaped it.
During the celebration, Tom Barron and Jim Harpole shared stories about Osprey’s founding and the principles that have guided the company from the beginning. David Ankenbrandt and Kirk Harpole expressed sincere appreciation for both past and present “Osprey family” members for their loyalty and dedication to the company. “It cannot be overstated that we owe our success today to all those who came before us”.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to continuous improvement, product innovation, and expanding our product offerings to meet the evolving needs of the industries we serve. We are incredibly grateful for our sales representatives, venders, and customers, many of whom have been with us for decades. It’s a point of pride that the average Osprey team member’s tenure is 15 years reflecting the strong relationships and culture we’ve built together.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 50 years. We are excited for the future and look forward to continuing this legacy for many years to come.
